Guidance and support in obtaining legal rights

The social workers help the disabled client with advice about the laws concerning disability, and then lead the client to obtain these rights by explaining the necessary procedures. When needed, the social workers intervene directly in the competent bodies, to start the network of services. Specifically, the social workers deal with:

  1. work support and facilitation
  2. personal assistance
  3. right to health
  4. right to work
  5. tax exemptions
  6. architectural barriers
  7. physical aids
  8. universal rights of all citizens
  9. right to study
  10. mobility

Beside the social worker, the following staff members may be involved: peer counsellors.
