Driving trials are designed to assess the residual motional abilities of a person with disability. Using a simulator and a practical test in a protected course with cars carrying several devices, the instruments and services that allow the person with disability to move most freely can be identified.
The driving simulator measures, through visual, physical and aural tests, the person with disability's reaction time to stimuli. Single and overall calculation of horizontal visual field and of strength remaining in the functioning limbs are worked out according to the current European norms.
