Car mobility

The occupational therapist helps the person with disability, through assessments and practical tests, to identify their requirements to do with driving and transport. The occupational therapist is supported in this area by an expert of aids for car mobility.
Rome ILC collaborate in this area with the Fiat Autonomy platform to carry out assessments using driving simulators and practical tests on car racing circuits, with vehicles adapted to the person's surviving functional abilities.

Beside the occupational therapist, staff who may be involved include: peer counsellor, mobility aids expert, social worker.
